This idea came to me out of the blue, and I thought it was at once super creepy and absolutely amazing. I made a few of these as Christmas gifts, and they were a huge hit (some people didn't even think they were creepy, which I found a bit bizarre, but I have a strange sense of humour). You can buy one with your own face here. Or with the face of a friend... or enemy?

Buy local this holiday season!
Victoire Boutique, where m3s has sold on and off over the years, wrote an excellent article on what it means to buy local.
http://www.notrevictoire.com/2012/12/support-localyear.html
Usually when I sell at shows, the shoppers are savvy and realize that they're spending a bit more to get a better quality, ethical, and local product. However, once in a while I'll get comments from someone who just doesn't understand. ("$50 for a scarf?? How ridiculous!") I always try to support small businesses- I would much rather spend my money supporting our economy and local artisans. Please keep this in mind when you're doing your Christmas shopping this year. You won't believe the beautiful, unique items you can find at local craft shows! I'll be at Smart Design Mart this weekend, which will be a great place to start ;)

Urban Craft, holiday edition
Urban Craft yesterday was just amazing! Thanks to everyone who came out and did their Christmas shopping at my booth :) I was overwhelmed by the positive responses to my work! Now I have so very much work to do before Smart Design Mart starts on Friday, but I'm happy to do it of course.
I'm really glad I made this stand for my headbands- it's difficult to display a lot of items in a small area, so adding the vertical display helped a lot.

Headbands for babies and little girls
How sweet are these?! I was selling adult's pompom headbands at Urban Craft last month, and so many little girls tried them on. I couldn't resist knitting them in smaller sizes. They are too adorable!! I did a show last weekend in Huntingdon, Quebec and they sold like crazy.

I'm super excited! I'm really grateful to be doing fairs in different cities and bringing m3s to a wider audience. It's so different to sell at a boutique in a city, than to actually sell at a fair there and meet your customers in person. Pass by and see me, and get your holiday shopping done! I've never done Craftmania or Haut & Fort before, but whenever I do Urban Craft and Smart Design Mart I can't resist leaving my own booth and shopping...

Urban Craft in Ottawa
Urban Craft was amazing! I absolutely loved the t-shirts by Winged Beast Outfitters, and Heart Meets Paper's gorgeous handmade cards.

Mama Beattie and my sister Vicki came to visit!
I'm super excited to go back in December!

Knit headbands!
I'm in love with these! They're super cute, warm, and you can wear them without messing up your hair. They're great as a gift set with a coordinating scarf, too!
Contact me at kimberly@mestroissoeurs.com to order one, or find them in my Etsy shop.

New online shop!

I am extremely excited to announce my new costume shop!
I'm posting made-to-measure custom costumes to order online. I have a few up there already, and I'm also open to new suggestions and ideas... if you can think of it, I can probably do it!
If you order online, all you have to do is send me your measurements and any customization requests you have. If you live in Montreal, I'd be happy to meet with you for an in-person consultation.
Here's the catsuit that has gotten the most attention so far. I've worn it as a Harley Quinn costume, and I've also turned it into the Queen of Hearts... I love this catsuit!! It is so flattering, the fabric it's made out of is the very best quality, and I've worn it for years and it still looks brand new. You just can't beat a catsuit that's made to your exact measurements!
Send me an email if you'd like to order something for yourself: kimberly@mestroissoeurs.com.
I'll post more pictures soon!
